Vampire Facelift Basics

Many people today wish they could turn back the hands of time and get a more healthy and youthful look. Winkles lines, saggy skin, discolored or blotchy skin, and the signs of wear and tear make us look older and when we look old we feel old too. The way people have overcome the affects aging has on the skin of the face is through facelifts. Understanding facelifts is important and many people are unsure about the safety and effectiveness of these rather invasive procedures. But what if it were possible to get that youthful glow back again using nothing but your body’s own blood? You might be thinking, how is that possible? The answer lies in what is known as the vampire facelift, one of the cosmetic procedures we offer here at Soni Stem Cell. This revolutionary approach to fighting the affects aging has on the skin uses the naturally occurring platelets and stem cells found in human blood. Getting a vampire face lift requires a minimally invasive procedure and within hours you can begin to see and feel the effects!

What Happens During a Vampire Facelift?

The vampire facelift is a two-part, non-surgical treatment. Part one involves harvesting the blood sample- any blood will do as the necessary platelets and stem cells can be found throughout the body’s blood supply. Once enough blood has been drawn it will be separated and condensed into a slurry of platelets and stem cells known as PRP or Platelet Rich Plasma. Part two involves injecting this slurry into the targeted areas of treatment on the face. Small amounts are injected under the skin and here they begin to repair worn out skin cells, heal damaged blood vessels, and improve the look and feel of the face. It is a procedure that is typically done in 1-2 hours as an outpatient procedure and requires only minimal injections with small thin needles. Within minutes after the procedure you can be on your way and can begin to enjoy a better reflection in the mirror, all by getting a vampire face lift and understanding facelifts, the various types and how they work.

Stem Cells and PRP Help How?

PRP and stem cells both work to stimulate growth. These are the body’s natural healing compounds and are responsible for the healing that occurs naturally. When you cut yourself and the skin and muscled heal and the blood vessels reform and the bruising subsides and any pain and swelling is dished, it is all thanks to stem cells and platelets. Platelets help clot the blood and lay the foundation for new cells to form and grow to heal the damaged area. Stem cells become the necessary cells to heal the area- skin, blood, muscle, nerve, or anything else.  PRP and stem cells are being widely used today in a number of medical and cosmetic procedures and their use and applications are becoming more numerous as our understanding of these amazing powerhouse cells continues to grow.

Vampire Lift vs. Liquid Facelift

One popular face lift option that has bene successful in the past for many people is the liquid facelift. A liquid facelift is not just a simple injection and goes beyond simply getting a filler treatment of Botox or some other filler. The injections are given deeper in the skin so that there is more than just a temporary surface change in appearance. Additionally, a liquid facelift typically has more volume and components to the injection that a simple filler injection does. There are several advantages and reasons why this type of facelift has become so popular. For one thing, there is no need to draw blood and the process is very quick and easy and relatively painless. Most patients are back on their way going about their normal routine within an hour of walking in to have the procedure done. Additionally, results last much longer with a liquid face lift than with simple injections and can last months or even a year or so for some patients.

Vampire Facelift vs. Traditional Facelift

As good as a liquid facelift nor a vampire facelift might be, neither one can ever fully replace a traditional surgical facelift. Surgical procedures result in permanent improvements that will not wear out with time so long as proper care is taken after the surgery. A facelift is the way to achieve the most dramatic and long-lasting results but it does come at a price that is often too much for many people.  Traditional facelifts are at times a major undertaking involving multiple surgeries, each one requiring sedation.  Facelifts also have much longer recovery times when compared to other options like the vampire facelift. Often times there is a minimum of a week down time with little to no activity and sometimes 3 or more weeks of limited activity allowed during recovery. This is compared to the hour or two of tenderness and mil irritation that might happen after a vampire facelift procedure.  Finally, it can take as long as six months for the skin and muscles of the face to fully heal after a traditional facelift before you see the final results- with a vampire facelift you see results in a day or two and often within a few hours! Understanding facelifts is important so you can make an informed decision about which is the best choice for you.

So which option is right for you? Understanding facelifts involves a lot of consideration and planning and you will need to discuss all of your options with your surgical team.
